We’re a community of forward-thinking M&A practitioners on a mission to perfect the M&A practice.

Traditional M&A processes are highly inefficient and antiquated. The industry operates in silos, and everyone has their own approach. Deals fail to deliver anticipated value because important deal processes, such as diligence and integration, are being poorly conducted and without proven techniques for success.

We need a platform to share knowledge and identify proven techniques. Teams execute better when they have a science-based approach to follow.

Kison aims to bring better process solutions to an industry with growing market pressures, transaction values and competition.

Kison Patel is the Founder and CEO of DealRoom, a project management software for complex financial transactions. Kison has over a decade of experience as an M&A advisor and developed DealRoom after experiencing first-hand a number of deep-seated, industry-wide inefficiencies and challenges. Through developing technology, educational content and industry trainings, Kison aims to bring better process solutions to an industry with growing market pressures, transaction values and competition.

History

How It All Began

M&A Science is an educational podcast exploring the intricate world of M&A with industry leaders and practitioners. What started in 2013 as research phone calls, transformed into an industry-leading podcast featuring practitioners sharing lessons learned with over 15k listeners. Our listeners include corporate development professionals, private equity, investment bankers, consultants, and tech leaders.

M&A Science comes in three mediums: a traditional podcast, a weekly live roundtable, and most recently, a virtual summit.
