Who is this course for
This course is for private equity investors, corporate development leaders, and capital allocators who want a clear-eyed read on how the buyout industry has shifted over 30 years and what that means for how deals get sourced, priced, structured, and valued today. It is especially useful for practitioners who are actively running or evaluating buy-and-build strategies, managing LP relationships through a slow exit environment, or trying to define a repeatable investment thesis in an increasingly competitive and specialized market.
Instructor

Hugh MacArthur is Chairman of the Global Private Equity Practice at Bain & Company, where he has spent roughly 32 years, co-founding the practice in 1995 as the firm's first dedicated practice area. Today the practice spans commercial due diligence, portfolio value creation, and strategy work for GPs and LPs across buyout, growth equity, venture capital, private credit, infrastructure, and real estate, representing approximately one third of Bain's global business.
